CWS Announces Partnership with Breast Cancer Resource Center

CWS is excited to announce that the Breast Cancer Resource Center has been chosen as the benefiting party for the Corporate Wellness Summit 2020 event series in Austin, Texas. As it enters its 25-year anniversary, the nonprofit will be highlighted at the Corporate Wellness Summit EXPO at the Austin Convention Center on October 9-10, 2020, as well as the Austin Corporate Run on October 11th, 2020 at the Travis County Expo Center. Their mission, talented staff, and clients will also be featured throughout the entire CWS promotion campaign, kicking off October 2019 and ending with a massive weekend of wellness in Downtown Austin.

The Corporate Wellness Summit EXPO and 5k event are Austin’s first and only corporate wellness event series that addresses all elements of wellness (physical, emotional, social, intellectual, financial, environmental, occupational, and spiritual) and empowers companies with tools and strategies to implement them for a healthier, happier workforce. “Although CWS is not primarily a health fair or a breast cancer event, BCRC is a great fit for our program and our audience, young professionals and corporate leaders who are among (or are related to someone within) the population at risk,” explains CWS Executive Producer Coral Talavera.

“Breast cancer can affect all aspects of our wellness, including our relationships and commitment to our jobs. CWS brings a great opportunity to tie in those topics and bring awareness to local companies big and small.”

 

Companies in Austin, their team members, and the entire community are invited to share with us on this special campaign, in which educational, motivational and community resources will be provided to all those affected in one way or another by breast cancer in Central Texas. “We are honored to be a part of this initiative and hope to further our powerful mission, to educate, assist and encourage patients and survivors in their journey through our patient navigators. We want people to know about the physical, emotional, spiritual and financial hurdles our patients face and CWS will provide an excellent platform to do so,” adds Elizabeth Freeman, Development Manager at BCRC.

With the help of guests and sponsors, the CWS Production team has pledged to donate at least $25,000 to the nonprofit and to support its mission in any way possible during the partnership. Proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, online donations, CWS merchandise sale, 5k registrations and more, will contribute to the fundraising goal.
